what exactly is included in your $1750 package?

for a flat fee of $1750, you will get all-day wedding coverage, two photographers (the hubby and the wife), a 10x8 hardback photobook/coffee table book, the discs with all edited images (which allows you to make your own prints), the online proofing gallery (mainly for your guests to see and/or order prints as they wish), slideshow at your reception (this consists of edited photos taken earlier that day displayed on our flat screen monitor), and also the live photobooth (we bring props and it always turns out to be a big hit with the guests).

will you also do traditional pictures at weddings?

while our overal goal throughout the day is to capture real moments without imposing, we do not completely abandon tradition. a given amount of time is set aside for portraits while still incorporating creativity and natural elements into the frame. still shots of details are taken in context to give more meaning.

how many pics will I receive?

on average, we take about 1800-2000 frames. once post-production is complete, you will be left with between 800-1000 edited photos. we have high standards for our retouched images and you will receive every single one.

how many hours of coverage do you offer?

we cover all of the day's events. once we feel that an adequate number of frames have been taken, and all events have taken place, we will pack it up. we do not stay until the wee hours of the morning as we have little ones to get home to.

why is your rate so low compared to other photojournalists?

this is our most common question, and the simple answer is that we keep our costs low. we work out of our home, therefore we do not have the overhead of an office or a studio. we do not participate in a lot of paid advertising; we prefer to rely mainly on craigslist, facebook, and personal referrals, all of which are free. we do not have fancy business cards and marketing material; we shop at Staples like normal folk.

we also just honestly really love doing this together. if you hired just one of us, and we had to spend the day apart, you would be paying a lot more. but since we have the opportunity to spend the day together, we don't care about the money so much. (also, Amanda is a full-time ICU nurse, so if you, the bride, feel faint or ill, we've got you covered!)

there seriously are no gimmicks here. we don't believe in nickel and diming.
